Information Regarding O’Hare International Airport’s
Nighttime Construction and Maintenance Program for 2004
Only one construction project for he 2004 construction season will
affect the Fly Quiet Program. Runway 9R-27L will be closed for sixty consecutive
nights from early August to early October for a limited rehabilitation project.
Consequently during this construction period, Runway 14R-32L will be closed for
three consecutive nights due to the construction activities of the Runway 9R-27L
project at the intersection of Runway 14R-32L. The phasing dates for the three
consecutive nights of closure are pending.

Fact: Runway 9R-27L is O’Hare’s second longest runway and one of
the most utilized nighttime runways. Runway 14R-32L is O’Hare’s
longest runway and also one of the most utilized for nighttime
operations.
