Question:Can you provide the specific Code Requirements for the number of Restroom Facilities (Male & Female) Pre and Post Security in Terminal 5?

Answer:There are no specific code requirements for Airports, Pre-Security and Security for restrooms. We generally use the code for Large Assembly Bldgs. And usually use one of the most restrictive categories. For occupancy you can figure 20sq. ft. per person (p.146, 2008 Chicago Bldg. Code).

• Request for Proposals: The City of Chicago (“City”) Department of Aviation (“Department”) invites the submission of proposals by qualified businesses to lease, develop and operate Manicure Services Concessions at Chicago O’Hare International Airport (“Airport”). This Request for Proposals (“RFP”) contains two concession opportunities: (1) a manicure services concession in Terminal 2 and (2) a manicure services concession in Terminal 3.
